A Fruitful Year: Looking Back at Her Life as Miss USA 2011

It has been year since Alyssa Campanella had seized the crown and had waited for the much awaited    Miss Universe.  It was indeed a time for the reigning Miss USA 2011 to have her opportunity to represent her country to the 60th Anniversary of Miss Universe. She made it to the Top 16 and move her way to the swimsuit competition. Now that her reign is finally coming to an end, let us have another look to the woman who had served as an inspiration and had served numerous causes.

On June 19, 2011 the world of Alyssa had changed when she wore the legendary crown of Miss USA. The red-haired California woman bested other state representatives. It was held at Competition at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. This 22 year old model had only these to say when she won the crown:

“For me, being Miss USA is not just about who you are on the outside; it's all about who you are on the inside. I may be 22 years old, but as Miss USA I have learned so much more about myself such as new passions of mine I never knew before. It was a year of personal growth as I truly discover who Alyssa Campanella is. "

For many years, Miss USA had chosen many young ladies who have the heart for a cause. As a woman who had passion, Alyssa had served as a spokeswoman for breast and ovarian cancer. This is a thing that is close to her for her grandmother had been diagnosed with cancer and was luckily cured. She had also served the USO as a part of foundation that she is serving. She was born in Manalapan, New Jersey. It was her passion to join modeling and when she was given the chance to try modeling at a higher level, she grabs the opportunity to represent her state.

If you are curious that her hair was red, it is because she had to dye her hair for a play. She was active at school plays so as a way to perfect her role, she had to change the color of her hair. Guess what? She had kept it as an identity for her personality. This June 3 we will finally say goodbye to the outgoing Miss USA 2011 and welcome the new Miss USA 2012 with happy hearts.
